Adam and Ursula 35 Days

After 4 sea days we made it safely to Reunion Island – east of Madagascar in the Indian Ocean.

The ride over here was WINDY and rainy so we spent a lot of time indoors crocheting! 🧶

It was still raining 🌧️ in the morning at our port – Pointe des Galets – so we didn’t get off the ship until the afternoon and avoided the rain!

Royal Caribbean offered a free shuttle to the mall again – so you guessed it – we went to the mall – complete with a grocery store inside! They speak French here and Adam’s extensive high school French classes did NOT kick in. So we did a lot of nodding and smiling while not understanding a word they said. Merci!

And yes – we did stop for a BK snack!

The scenery looked beautiful here (what we could see of it) but this was a busy city. We even got caught in a traffic jam!

There is an active volcano on the island, rainforests, and beaches – but those spots will have to be visited another time.

We were back on the ship in time for dinner! Tomorrow we stop at Mauritius!
