We made it to our last port before Singapore! We are in Mauritius (More-ish-us) at about 20 degress south and 57 degress east – east of Madagascar – in the Indian Ocean.

Royal Caribbean offered a free shuttle, again, to the city centre so off we went. Even though the centre was right across from the ship, the road there showed us different parts of the city.

They drive on the left here and there are barely any traffic lights – mostly just round-abouts. So we decided we probably wouldn’t be very good drivers here (well, Adam at least).
The city centre was a nice stroll thru shops and restaurants. We just enjoyed the walk, sunshine, and historical information. we did some shopping and thankfully some places took the Euro or credit cards. And – even though there were billboards in French, they all spoke English.

We did not enjoy all the trash floating in the harbor. it was really the first time we saw trash in the water and they really needed to clean it up. 😠🗑️
There were so many things to see on the island – waterfall, volcanic crater, colorful sand, shores – but it will have to wait for our next visit!
We headed back to the ship to enjoy the sunshine ☀️ and have some lunch. It was great to see some of the crew members were able to have their families on-board for a visit and there were many other visitors on the ship also (like tour companies).
We now start our final 7 days at sea to finish the cruise! 🚢 Next stop – Singapore!
