I LOVE SEA DAYS! – Updated – Final Sea Days

We are in our final stretch of 7 sea days – Day 14 of cruise #2 – only a few more days to go!

So what have we been up to? Keeping busy relaxing 😎! It is so easy to get into a routine – sleep, eat lunch, enjoy the sun, take a walk, get a specialty coffee, have dinner, crochet, have some drinks – repeat.

Sunset – Indian Ocean

We finally got a couple games of mini-golf in. Despite my under par start on hole 1 – I lost both games! By a lot! It didn’t help that the ball blew off the course and the ship tilted just as I was about to finish my shot.

We have also been to a few more shows – the regular Royal singers and dancers are transitioning teams so they have not done any shows. Instead we have been to comedians, magicians, a hypnotist (Adam says it was fake – not me!), and musicians.

I also went to the outdoor pool movie – so fun – only wish I had popcorn!

Ticket to Paradise

The weather has been great – sunny and warm! Although it is raining 🌧️ all around us and we will probably get some remnants of the storms soon.

Camp Justice? Who knew?

I even tried a new drink – a Washington Apple (I think that was the name) – and a classic Miami Vice!

The next few days we will have to start thinking about packing and returning to the real world hustle again. As my mom said, we have to adjust our sea legs again!

We officially started the 2nd cruise – 17 nights from Cape Town, South Africa to Singapore! We are on the same ship – Adventure of the Seas – but have a new room. We are now on Deck 11 overlooking the FRONT of the ship. Our room is updated and the balcony is HUGE!

Our Sea Days haven’t changed much from the first cruise – crochet, sun, work, eat…maybe more sleeping.

Our balcony – 2 lounge chairs, a table, and 2 more chairs!
Some of my crochet projects – passport covers – gifts for flight attendants
Future baby snuggle toys – I didn’t bring cotton stuffing so I couldn’t make the heads – giraffe, hippo, and I’m not sure yet!

Update – Day 9 at Sea

We can’t believe we are already at 9 straight sea days! Tomorrow we are at our next stop in Namibia!

We have been keeping busy with our routine – crochet, read, and Adam doing work. We take multiple walks a day and try to get to the gym (I’ll have a separate post on the gym situation after I take some supporting pics).

We had our first “cold” day – not like Michigan-cold – but cruise cold 🥶 and windy.

Our newest thing is staying up really late – like 3 am late! You all know that is WAY past my bedtime but we have been having so much fun at the late-night activities.

We went to the Quest show the other night with our cruising buddies – it was crazy, pure entertainment. 🤣😂 The game is full of different quests the team captains have to do. The audience is your team. These are not simple quests – they include things like “Find 3 men’s pants” or “Find the tallest and shortest men on your team” or “Do the worm.” We were laughing at the silliness of it all! And, no, Adam did not participate as the tallest man (even though he was). He is glad that he didn’t because the tallest man had to be a stripper pole for the shortest man!! Ah-hahahaha!

We also danced the night away at a Red nightclub. The DJ was mixing all of our favorite songs and the dance floor was full! Even Adam got up to dance!

We also went to another ice show. I liked this one better – it was a showcase designed by the skaters.

Our cruising buddies introduced me to a new drink – watermelon, lemon drop with Belvedere vodka. It tastes like candy and probably should stop after just one.

A Hurricane and Lemon Drop…
Adam and his phone! We are sharing internet on most days so I have to sneak it whenever I can! 😁
Ronnie! We finally had French Onion soup! Yum!

Today we have a busy day with watching the Lion’s game (thanks to German RTL TV channel) and filling out immigration paperwork to visit Namibia (whole lot of work for just a day visit). Along with more crocheting 🧶, reading, and walking around the ship.

Adam walking his laps. It’s hard to tell but it was 62 degrees and WINDY!!

Sunset today!

We have been at sea for 5 days in a row now and everything is going great!! The water has been so smooth, the sun is shining for 12 hours a day, and we have been relaxing!

Our days are simple – eat, sleep, crochet, read, sit by the pool, Adam works, repeat!
